Everyone is  invited to attend tryouts and you must attend the tryouts in order to be selected.

TPTC will have the following competitive teams for the 2020 Tennis season:

The Head Pro may use any combination of the criteria’s below in order to select the players for the teams. The tryouts will be run by our Head Pro during the selection process players will observed and evaluated by the Club Pros.

  • Individual skills and Conformity (biomechanics)
  • Doubles skills and Doubles Effectiveness
  • Past team engagement and performance (i.e. previous years’ league scores), where available
  • Scores from the tryout games (you will be randomly partnered and rotated)

The tryout results will be communicated by the board of directors to the players after the tryouts, by email only. Players should not expect the Pro to communicate any results during the tryouts. Players must be members in good standing in order to play for any of the teams.

Players not selected to be on the team, and players joining the club after the tryouts may be invited to be on the sub list at the request of the captains and approval by the board of directors.

The solely purpose of the tryouts is to ensure the strongest team is put forward.
